Is Shopify available in the Philippines, and can Filipinos sell on it?
Yes. Filipinos can sell on Shopify: it publishes plans in pesos on its Philippine pricing page [1], and its Philippine payment gateways page [2] lists local options including PayMongo, Xendit, 2C2P, Dragonpay (via KOMOJU), Paynamics, HitPay and PayPal (both checked 25 Oct 2026). Shopify Payments isn't offered to Philippine merchants, so stores use one of these gateways.

Apps
Paid apps are optional. Start with what Shopify includes, and add an app only when it fixes a specific problem, such as reviews, size charts or shipping rules. Check each app's billing on its App Store [6] listing before you install it, because small monthly charges add up across several apps.
Theme vs custom
A free theme from Shopify's Theme Store is enough for many first stores, and a paid theme adds more layouts. A custom design is worth it when the look is part of what you sell, which is common for fashion brands. See also fashion brand website cost in the Philippines.

FAQ
Is Shopify still worth it in 2026?
Shopify is worth it in 2026 for brands that want a dependable store without managing hosting or updates and will use its apps and themes. It fits less well when plan and app fees outweigh sales, or when you need custom logic the platform doesn't allow. See Shopify vs WooCommerce and when to upgrade to Shopify Plus.
